With Joe going off to college, I started this blog to make it easier to share with you what is going on in our lives. Hopefully, he can send us pictures and add to it. Sometimes it's hard to send alot of pictures via the e-mail and this way maybe we can share more.

Thankful at Thanksgiving
What a life. Thanksgiving is always a great time for us Faile's. Chris and I got married on November 26, 1983 - we celebrated 25 years married this year. Joe came home from college on the 25th and we have enjoyed having him home. I like having both kids at home. He has spent a good bit of time with us and we have loved it. We had a great meal at my mom's and then a great meal at my dad's Thanksgiving evening. Friday, we headed out to start shopping with my dad for Christmas - something we do every year over the long weekend. We got the Christmas tree up while Joe was home and I'll get the rest of the stuff up in the next week. Joe is off to go skiing until Sunday and it'll be back to school on Sunday. We take back this trip. It's hard to believe that his first semester is almost over and E is already into her second quarter at school. Time is flying by.
It's now October
We have finally made it almost 8 weeks of Joe being in college, Elizabeth being in 7th grade, Chris being home after being laid off in August.
Joe will be coming home for fall break starting Oct. 16th - Oct. 19th.
Elizabeth today is at her first afterschool event - she stayed at school for the big football game. "Battle at the Lake" Bailey Middle School versus Bradley Middle School.
Chris will be starting a new job on Oct. 15th in downtown Charlotte.
Mom, me will continue to be a stay at home mom and keep the house going. I am hoping to be able to craft a bit more.
I'll sign off for now. I am still learning how to use this blog and hopefully, have figured out a way to send it out with updates!!!
